Regular office hours are Monday thru Friday 7am to 5pm. We strongly believe in the value of your time and will do our best to see you at the time of your scheduled appointment.
We take appointments and make every effort to see patients in a timely manner. However, sometimes it becomes necessary to divert attention to severely ill patients that present life threatening emergencies. We ask for your understanding when this happens. We will keep you informed of all delays. Our walk-in policy is such that you may walk in for some ancillary services, please keep in mind you may have to wait until scheduled patients have been assisted first.
Our telephones are answered from 8am to 5pm. Our operators are trained to handle all incoming telephone calls. This allows the physicians and nurses to attend to their scheduled patients with a minimum of interruptions. Each telephone call is prioritized by urgency and we return all calls by the end of each working day or following morning at the latest. A nurse handles all urgent/emergent issues at the time or your call.
After Hours Calls
Saratoga Cardiology provides a team of physicians who cover all of your after hour emergent needs. One of these physicians may be reached by calling our office at (518) 587-7625. We ask that requests for medication refills and appointments be made during our normal business hours. This will allow the physician on call to deal with the critical patients and urgent situations. If you call our answering service and do not receive a response from the physician within 20-30 minutes please call again. If you have a life threatening emergency go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
Payment is expected at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made with the billing department. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard.
Medication Refill Policy
When calling our office for prescription refills you may use our automated script line by calling (518) 587-5762. If you do not feel comfortable using this our operators are trained to take care of all your prescription refill requests. Please allow 24 hours for all refill requests or written scripts needed. It is very helpful for you to have the medication bottle in front of you when you call.
Saratoga Cardiology is a firm believer in patient rights. We will not release any of your medical records to any insurance company, attorney, etc. without your written, signed and dated consent.
We accept most insurance plans including HMOs, PPOs, POSs, Medicare assignment and Medicaid. For a comprehensive list check with our receptionist when you arrive. If you are coming to our office for the first time you will need to bring your insurance cards so we can copy them for your file. You will be responsible to pay your deductible and/or co-payment at the time of service. If you have a managed care insurance plan which requires you to have a referral for specialty services, you are responsible to bring it with you to your appointment. Please let our billing manager know if you have any problems or questions regarding our insurance.
